The Rambagh Palace is an exceptional, authentic Indian restaurant serving up many delicious delights, located at the lake of constance.
Delighted to find a cordial welcome after an incredible session of attempt to destabilize professional, social and human at the Bürgerbüro. It is not allowed to eat inside but I immediately felt a "Good Vibes" Atmosphere. I tasted a vegetarian dish and a Chai and it was worth Reparation because I sincerely want to quit my forced labor in the "Social Sector" :). In short, the next Big trip: India. If and when the Gods are favorable. Thank you for this Sweet and Depaysant Moment!
The restaurant itself is not very inviting. Everything was very old and adorned with kitschy Bollywood stuff. Almost startled me a little when we arrived. At first glance, the selection is large, but you miss some well-known Indian starters. The portion sizes are pretty small - the price is too high for that. Food was okay. Didn't blow us away though. We wouldn't go again.
Very authentic Indian cuisine and very good service!
Very fresh and deliciously prepared.
The food was delicious and the service friendly. One star deduction because no lamb was available. Then had to order again. All in all well worth a visit.
We think the Rambagh Palace is really very cozy. The seating is rather generous and the ambience feels quite Indian to us. We had the Vindaloo (spicy) and a vegetarian meal (can't remember the name). Both were very tasty ... and also very enjoyable (for me): Spicy was not just an empty phrase
Good friendly service, very good food, lamb very good, good prices recommend menus
The restaurant is in beautiful rooms, but unfortunately decorated like Bollywood cliché. But what bothered me most was the cut-to-size decorative velvet fabric as a tablecloth, I personally find something unhygienic, even if it might fit into the owner's colorful color scheme ?! The tables in the balcony niche are a dream & really unusual. We are served friendly, if a little chaotically. The chicken pakoras were forgotten in the starter platter, which was not corrected even though we asked the waiter about it. For the sake of fairness: we were only charged for the veg. Plate ;-). The Mango Lassi was delicious, our main courses: rarely got such tasteless Indian food (heat level medium), I still think the price for organic quality was reasonable & the portions were sufficient for both of us. Summa sumarum: if we were to live in Konstanz, this restaurant would unfortunately not be worth another visit.
Actually a nice place near the cathedral in Constance. Finding a parking space is not easy - I was lucky at Stephansplatz. Menu rather simple: vegetarian, chicken, fish, prawns. Medium amount of meat, lots of sauce, no vegetables, small portion of bland rice. The Meera is much better, but not that central.
Unfortunately we weren't really satisfied this time. On the positive side (and not insignificant) it is to be reported that the food was good. Unfortunately, the criticism begins with the portion size; That wasn't enough for me to end a long day sightseeing. It should also be noted here that the Rambagh Palace only uses organic products, which is reflected in Demeter prices and, in our case, delivery bottlenecks for meat. The service was polite to friendly without being in danger of appearing overambitious and I had to renegotiate the bill. What was really remarkable was the interior design, which is thematically based on Indian motifs, but due to the lack of an underlying design concept, it cannot develop a real atmosphere. The sanitary facilities were probably based on authentic Indian models. All in all, two stars for good food in organic quality without going beyond the gastronomic minimum in any other way.
Nice conditions but too small portions for the quite expensive food. Price-performance ratio does not fit. Appeared disorganized, finally got our food after almost 2 hours ... Ambience: nothing fits together, everything covered with kitschy colored cloths, looks cheap ..
• Indian dishes taking Ayurvedic teaching into account
Fine Indian specialties. Especially the seats on the balconies are exceptional.
Delicious super atmosphere ..
Great food in a beautiful and colourful environment. The service was really good as well. Our waiter was patiently explaining how spicy we should order, which is important in an indian restaurant. and both our dishes were really delicious. Definitely going back.
I granted Constance for 1 day and hungry So I found it by accident You have 1 lunch table really good The food they took out the lunch table The taste is right OK mild I asked for a little more sheep and no problem Kamm Dan so on the bread was a little bit in demand and already there So now the desserts Rambagh ice brought well So something warm at the end 1 chai interesting taste Price is okay for the location and otherwise really OK
Insider tip? Hardly likely! Never seen such a catastrophic organization! Had to order a total of 4 times until we got something. The restaurant is really not big .. everything went wrong that can only go wrong. At every table, not just with us. Portions ridiculous. I've never been so annoyed in a restaurant.
Came in by chance and we immediately liked the ambience. Very nice owner and the food was very, very tasty. Had a starter platter with samosa and pakora and one main course with organic lamb and one chicken. We can definitely recommend the restaurant, but bring some time with 😉
I am absolutely convinced of the concept of this restaurant! The food was delicious and the ambience authentic. Gladly again! Absolute insider tip in Konstanz!
Really very nice place and servers available. The rental is ideal. Small balconies
Sorry, but this was the worst Indian food I have tasted so far and also the first time a had to ask for salt at an Indian restaurant. The sauces tasted watery and the portions were very small (for prices of 13 Euros or higher per dish). If you have been to India, you will not be happy with this place as the food is just no authentic. While the places looks nicely decorated and is in a good location in Konstanz, the service, food and value for money were disappointing.
The place is average , food is average , chicken is not marinated and overcooked so its only the flavour of the sauce . A bit overpriced for the small portions .
Great service, excellent food
Top! Delicious. Friendly. Courteous. 💓
Dishes are small
Very good food and service! Location is very nice. Prices a bit too high.
Delicious Indian dinner. Tasty Mangolassi. Nice diner and great view if you book a table on the balcony.
Too many spices - not really authentic Indian
Beautiful place for some nice Indian food! Good views, really nice decorated and when in summer call ahead and ask for one of the 3 windows which are open to sit "outside" must go for tourists!
Such a cute and romantic place, the service and portions were good! We had the vegan versions and it tasted really really good!
The food doesn't even register to the level of being acceptable. With an order of Malai Kofta, the Kofta is crisp (in place of being soft), close to being burnt and is a hostage situation with the vegetables. The Malai on the other hand is no where near being malai (cream), rather it is a "curry" with shredded Paneer on top of it, made to look like cream. A correct recipe calls for Koftas to be dunked into creamy, sweet and spicy curry (the Malai). Here, the Malai is barely 4 spoons full. All in all, this was a very disappointing meal. Would not eat here again.
Lovely cozy place, with friendly staff. Very good food, and the chicken&lamb are from a "happy" farm
Perfect decoration, food is nice but all curries tasted quite similar. I expected a bit more for the price I paid.
We had a great meal with a lovely view out the window. The food was delicious.
